| Saheed Kshudiram College is located in the Dooars region of the Alipurduar District, positioned in the extreme north-eastern part of West Bengal, at coordinates 26.47°N, 89.73°E. The college is strategically situated 15 kilometers from the nearest state border with Assam and 35 kilometers from the neighboring country of Bhutan. The college originally started functioning in Kamakhyaguri Boys’ High School on 11th September 1996 with very few students and three teachers in permanent posts. Initially, the college received students from neighboring villages only, which ultimately grew to above six thousand students including the students from far away places like lower Assam, Tufanganj II, Alipurduar Block, and Kumargram. Historically, the place by and large belongs to backward communities, for which the college plays a pivotal role in shaping and developing the future generations of the under -priviledged and developing communities of the region. |
